THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEMBERS OF GHALCA ENGAGED DIVISION ONE LEAGUE CLUB SUPPORTERS LEADERS AHEAD OF 2026/27 SEASON

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has held a crucial engagement with leadership of supporters groups of Access Bank Division One League clubs ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

The meeting was held at the GHALCA Conference Hall at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday 30th July 2026 and it was chaired by GHALCA Chairman, Mr. John Kofi Ansah together with members of the Executive Council (EXCO).

The engagement brought together supporters leaders from all three zones of the Division One League to deliberate on key issues affecting the league and the role of fans in the upcoming season.
Key among the issues discussed were:
• The role and conduct of supporters in promoting league growth
• Matchday protocols and professionalism at league venues
• Safety and security measures at match centres
• Bridging the gap between club Management and supporters front
Addressing the supporters leaders.

Chairman John Ansah emphasized the need for unity, discipline, and mutual respect between club administrators and the fans. He noted that supporters are a critical stakeholders in the development of Ghana football and their positive involvement is essential for a successful season.

The EXCO also reiterated GHALCA’s commitment to working closely with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), club owners and security agencies to ensure improved safety at all Division One League centres in the coming season.

Leaders of the supporters groups on their part expressed appreciation to GHALCA for the engagement, describing it as timely and pledged their commitment to ensuring incident free matchdays and to support their clubs in a more organized and responsible manner.

The meeting forms part of GHALCA’s series of stakeholder engagements ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

A similar meeting was held for the Premier League Clubs supporters Leaders on 17th July 2026 and same will be done for the Women’s Club Supporters Leaders.
